Course Contents

This course provides knowledge on effects of physical education for the disabled; special olympics; physical education for mental, visual, audial and orthopedic children and adults.

Weekly Schedule

1) Explain causes of disability, classifications of disability and the historical development.
2) Explain characteristics of individuals with disabilities and the importance of the sports for disabled
3) Is aware of the issues at selection of athletes
4) Know the issues to be considered at the sports for disabled
5) Identify orthopedic disabilities
6) Identify people with intellectual disabilities
7) Explain the properties of persons with hearing disabilities
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Explain the properties of the visually impaired
10) The rules of the competition in the games of disabled
11) Know the classification for disabled sports
12) Know the teaching of gymnastics
13) Know sports organizations for disabled
14) Know the international sports organizations for disaabled
