Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Has to be able to apply first aid principles in sports injuries.
2) Has to be able know the basic life support in life threatining situations.
3) Has to be able to know about the approach in emergencies like head trauma, bleeding or drowning.
4) Know the approach in cases of burns, frostbite and heat stroke
5) Be able to apply first aid principles in fractures, dislocations and sprains
6) To be able to apply first aid principles in consciousness disorders, poisoning, animal bites
7) Being able to apply first aid in cases of foreign body intrusion into eyes, ears and nose and suffocation
8) To be able to apply the general rules in carrying the patient / injured person

Course Contents

Basic life support algorithm. First aid in emergencies like head traumas, bleeding, drowning, fracture and electric shock. Sudden cardiac dead in athletes. Under water emergencies. First aid principles in sports injuries.
