Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Knows the concepts of Sociology and Tourism Sociology, their characteristics and their relationship with other scientific fields.
2) Knows the basic factors that determine the effects of tourism on society.
3) Knows and evaluates the economic, physical and socio-cultural effects of tourism.
4) Within the framework of the information it acquires, it contributes to the development of tourist-local people, tourist-tourist, tourist-guide and tourist-employee relations.
5) Analyzes sociological problems that may arise as a result of tourism sector activities, takes precautions and develops solutions.
6) As an individual living in society and as a tourism sector employee, knows the characteristics of Turkish and tourist-sending societies and organizes her behavior and work accordingly.
