Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Explaining the importance of the historical development of export financing
2) Explaining the techniques of foreign trade financing
3) Assessing the risks involved in foreign trade transactions and explains the financial needs arising
4) Explaining foreign trade, foreign exchange, cash loans by commercial banks
5) Explaining non-cash loans, trade finance: external guarantees, letters of credit, acceptance, and bills of exchange transactions, the process of bank acceptance market.

Course Contents

The scope of this course include export financing ımportance and historical development, export financing corporate structure, export promotion measures and activities, export-oriented state aid, export financing process, short-term export financing, medium and long-term export financing, export credit policy and credit costs, export credit guarantees, export insurance, forfaiting, , leasing, financing of imports, accreditive credit, payment against documents, ımport credit, credit acceptance and aval.
