Course Contents

Students are acknowledged on the concepts scuh as; society and law and branches of law and sources of law, law security and fundamental rights, social law state personality, beginning and termination of real personality, kinship, rights, loss of rights and protection of rights, legal relations, transactions, events and behavior, subjective and objective good faith and human rights.

Weekly Schedule

1) Society and law, legal order, definition of law
2) Rules of law and its qualities. Sanctions in the field of law.
3) Sources of law and separation into branches of law.
4) Constitution, codes (statutes), statutory decrees, regulations, by-law.
5) Judicial precedent (judge-made law) ve unified decisions of supreme courts.
6) Law security, state of law and social law state.
7) Personality, classification of persons. Beginning and termination of real personality.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment.
9) Names of persons (first name, family name, nick name). Changing and protection of name.
10) Kinship, lineal kinship, affinity relationship, kinship arising from adoptation.
11) Legal events and legal relations . Owner of a right, obligor, obligation.
12) Legal behaviours, act of injustice and legal transactions. Unilateral and multilateral transactions.
13) Rights, theories explaining the concept of right. Public rights and private rights.
14) Acquisition and lossof rights. Good faith in acquisition of rights. Objective and subjective good faith. Conditions of good faith. Individual and judiciary protection of rights.
15) Succession, property, ownership and resposiility.
16) Final examination
