1) Becoming dominate with the basic concepts of working sociology
2) To understand the concept of working within the historical and social context, to compare different approaches in this field.

Course Contents

In this course, the concept of industrial relations and the factors resulted in emergence of that are going to be taken into consideration. Furthermore, trade unions will be examined in terms of their aspects of structure, historical background and functions.

1) Understanding concept of work in historical perspectives
2) Developing idea of concept of work in historical perspectives
3) The meaning of concept of work; differing experiences,review
4) Evaulating concept of labor process
5) Discussions about labour process
6) Evaluating emprical studies to understand class relationship in the workplaces
7) To understand the status of workers in the workplace and social structure identification and evaluation of field studies carried out in Turkey.
