Course Contents

In this lecture students are provided with the knowledge of daily greetings, asking and answering names, asking adress, time, date, phone number and answering them, weather forecast, seeing a doctor, Chinese syllables, etc.

Weekly Schedule

1) Meeting, greeting and the alpahabet
2) Daily life situational bound utterances (hi, how are your, have a good day, please, good night, sorry)
3) Introducing yourself (Name, surname, nice to meet you, what's his/ her name?)
4) Expressing nationalities and countries? Asking someone's origin, numbers from 1 to 100 and phone numbers.
5) Telling the time, days, months and Chinese zodiac
6) Talking about family members
Asking about age.
7) Giving direction and names of public places
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Asking prices,sizes and colours
Talking about qualities and bargaining
10) Give orders at a restaurant and awareness about Chinese cuisine and Chineese people's eating habits.
11) Writing: Chinese characters
Writing: Days, months and numbers1-100
12) Vocabulary: Travel and weather forecast, and regional differences in Chine in terms of weather.
13) Visitng a doctor: Expressing simple diseases and raising awareness about health services in China.
14) Syllabus in Chinese language (man,woman,entrance,exit,open,closed...)
15) Prepositions of place, asking and giving directions
16) Final examination
