Weekly Schedule

1) PN-jointed structure of power diyodes.
2) Of the rectified alternating current. Rectifier types. Straightening process occurring as a result of the active and the average voltage value.
3) Triac, power transistor, MOSFET, IGBT, GTO, MCT, SIT, IGCT, MOS turn-off thyristor.
4) Power losses in semiconductors, cooling requirements, cooling types.
5) Driving circuit and isolation, alternating current power switches, thyristor switching system.
6) Rectifiers, single phase uncontrolled full-wave rectifiers, smoothing methods, rectifiers, power factor, single-phase controlled rectifiers.
7) Uncontrolled and controlled three-phase half-wave rectifier circuit analysis
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) DC-DC choppers, two thyristor choppers, resonant commutated DC choppers
10) Inverter frequency and voltage control methods for the analysis of single-phase inverter
11) Single-phase square wave and PWM inverter operation analysis, voltage and frequency control, the inverter harmonics.
12) Industries where the use of PWM drives, metal source and a high frequency induction furnace applications
13) The newly developed power control equipment, Mosfet, MCT, GTO Investigation of elements.
14) Lighting applications of power electronics circuits, electronic ballast and igniters.
15) Ohmic inductive load control and power electronics applications.
