Course Contents

This course provides students with the knowledge of Test of Circuit Equipments, Identifying the Circuit Elements, Test Techniques, Following Signal, Specification of Faulty Regions or Equipment. Localization of Fault, Functional Block Diagrams, Fault finding of Electronic Instruments and Systems, Fault Algorithm, Advanced Trouble-Shooting Devices, Test and Fault Detection Devices in Advanced Levels, Maintenance Records, Maintenance Devices.

Weekly Schedule

1) Introduction of circuit components and test equipments
2) Testing of circuit components with AVO meters
3) Testing of circuit components by using VI characteristic.
4) The drawing of the circuit on printed circuit diagrams and following of the circuit diagram
5) Fault finding methods
6) Fault finding devices
7) Determinating the faulting area or element, failure to localize.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Fault finding in amplifier circuits
10) Fault finding in power supplies.
11) Fault finding in Op-amp circuits.
12) Fault finding in oscillator circuits.
13) Faulty printed circuits, troubleshooting and testing of circuits.
14) Electrostatic and effects of electrostatic on circuit faults
15) Maintenance and repair records and archiving
16) Final examination
