Course Contents

The definition and the subject of Standardization. Benefits of Standardization to the manufacturer, to the consumers and to the economy. The standards and standardization activities in Turkey. The definition of quality and approaches. Total quality management, quality assurance, ISO 9000 standards. Professional standards.

Weekly Schedule

1) Course content and delivery of textbooks to the information. Definition of standards and standardization, standardization of the development process, issues, goals and principles
2) Standardization of the manufacturer to the consumer and the economy of the benefits, standards and standardization activities in Turkey in the standard varieties, the Turkish Standards Institute and the staff
3) Certification and accreditation work in Turkey, the Turkish Accreditation Authority and the tasks, the importance of international standardization, regional and international standardization organizations, national and international metrology, calibration studies and related organizations
4) The history of quality, definition and basic concepts and affixed between the concepts
5) Quality approaches, the relationship between quality and productivity, quality, costs, poor quality risks
6) Quality of the concept of quality approach to the development of guiding some scientists
7) Total Quality Management and Fundamentals
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Some internationally recognized quality system and documentation
10) The importance and benefits of quality assurance
11) Principles of quality management, quality management system standards of the history.
12) TS-EN-ISO 9000:2000, TS-EN-ISO 9001:2000, TS-EN-ISO 9004:2000 standard and the 1994 revision of the presentation and the differences
