Course Contents

Separation processes, explain absorbtion as both a stagewise differential counter current contacting process, apply the principles of separation by distillation, explain the process of liquid-liquid extraction, explain the processes of striping,drying and evaporation,Explain process of filtration. Fluidized beds, refinary operations. Water its treatment,Review sources and types of water available for chemical plant use, remove impurities from water, identify methods of wastewater treatment. Corrosion prevention,explain the two main types of corrosion,their causes and effects, methods of protection against corrosion and minimizing corrosion, preventive maintenance.
