Course Contents

This course covers Ataturk's revolutions, foreign policies conducted with the emergence of the Republic, transition to a multi-party system and its effects on social and economic life,the consequences of the Second World War and policies implemented from the 60s .

Weekly Schedule

1) The proclamation of the republic
2) Abolish the Sultanate and Unification Law
3) The reactions to the Revolution, the Sheikh Said rebellion, Izmir assassination
4) Transition to multiparty life trials, Progressive Republican Party, the Free Republican Party
5) Atatürk's revolutions: the revolution in the field of education
6) The revolution in the field of law and the constitutions implemented in Turkey
7) The changes made in the economic field, statism application and results
8) Midterm / Evaluation
9) His Atatürk revolution in the field of culture, language, history, art, etc.
10) Ataturk's principles, complementary principles of Atatürk
11) The Second World War in the process of Turkey's domestic and foreign policy
