Course Contents

This course includes atomic absorption spectroscopy analysis, describe the components of AA and their functions, explain the differences between AA and flame emission. Spectrophotometer, determine the calcium content of a simple by AA. Chromatography, discuss the general principles of chromatography, compare the principles of thin layer and paper chromatography, principles of gas chromatography and perform analysis using this technique. Calorimeter, principles of calorimeter and perform analysis using this technique, describe the instruments involved in calorimeter.

Weekly Schedule

1) Ray, the wave character of the beam (the beam wavelength, frequency, velocity, wave number, diffraction) of the beam particle character
2) Article-beam interactions (beam to pass and refraction, dispersion, reflection, dispersion, Raman scattering), the beam absorb (atomic absorption spectra, electromagnetic spectrum, the black body radiation)
3) Absorption laws (Beer's law, Lambert's law and permeability) deviations from Lambert-Beer law, chemical deviations
4) Flame spectroscopy (deactivation of the electron, atomic absorption and concentration) atomic emission spectroscopy, device, graphic work, analysis of mixtures
5) Atomic absorption spectroscopy (flame or arc events occurring temperature, the energy levels of atoms and the emitted radiation, and the excited atoms in the quantum levels) Peak
