Course Contents

Definition of soil and its basic components; soil formation; the concept of soil profile and horizon; the main soil groups in Turkey; texture and structure concepts, providing and sustaining the clustered structure in soil; soil organic matter and its properties; roil reaction (acidity, alkalinity); soil-water relations; macro and micro organisms in the soil.
