1) Explain some concepts such as drug, medicine, pharmacy, drug store.
2) Recognize drugs in nature and harvest properly drugs themselves from nature.
3) Entitle drugs and comprehends the harvest criteria for drugs and keep record during the harvest.
4) Explain drying method of drugs, its storage conditions and sailing process.
5) Compare drug fumigation with the factors that cause deterioration of drug.

Course Contents

Explaining of raw material (drug) and medicines concepts; explaining of pharmacopoeia and monograph concepts; the naming of drugs (Drug nomenclature); plant organs used as a drug and their properties; harvesting or collecting of drugs from nature; cleaning, drying, storage and delivery to consumers of drugs; fumigation of drugs; the subjects to be considered during the drug sale.

2) Concepts of pharmacopoeia and monograph, legislation of related to the drug sales in Turkey
3) Specification and recognition of herbal drugs

7) The harvest criteria of herbal drugs and the harvest rules
