Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Define the factors that cause disease in plants.
2) Clarify micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, fungus, etc.) that cause disease in plants.
3) Explain organisms (nematode, insect, mite, bird, etc.)., for harmful for plants and their properties.
4) Explain weeds, damaged forms and methods of struggle.
5) Define tools and machinery used in crop protection, worker health and work safety.

Course Contents

Micro-organisms causing plant disease (viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc.); macro-organisms causing pests in plants (insects, mites, nematote, weed, etc.); diagnosis of the damage from abiotic causes and its characteristics, activities, symptoms and treatment; development physiology of pathogens and their control methods; the general definition of plant pests and characteristics, forms of harm; classification, causes and symptoms of plant diseases; disease and pest control methods.
