Course Contents

Air pollution and air pollutants, environmental effects of air pollution, measuring methods of air pollutants, active and passive sampling techniques, automatic gas/particul analysers, measuring of convantional air pollutants like SO2, NOX, CO, O3, HC, NH3, florine, chlorine, remote sensing and bio-indicators, qualiy control and sensitivity, monitoring stations and sampling point locations, calibration.

Weekly Schedule

1) Air pollution, air pollutants and convational pollutants.
2) Measuring techniques of air pollutants.
3) Makes outdoor air sampling in the envrionment, solid-phase and liquid-phase sampling.
4) Indoor air sampling, use of sorbent tubes.
5) Determining of sampling point locations and number of samples.
6) Analysis the air samples in the laboratory.
7) Analysis of air samples
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Use equipments.
10) Using full-automatic or manual sampling/analysis equipments.
11) Using sampling or analysis equipments.
12) Calibrating equipments used for air sampling and analysis.
13) Conserving the air samples and analysis of them.
