Course Contents

Concept of Business Finance, Objectives of Financial Management, Duty and Responsibilities of Finance Manager, Types of Finance, Evaluation of Liqudity, Finance and Risk, Financing With Capital, Auto Financing, Financing With Debt, Leasing, Financial Analysis and Tools, Financial Planning, Methods Used In Financial Planning, Proforma Balance Sheet, Cash Budgeting, Funds Flow Table, Investment and Project Evaluation.

1) Introduction-Basic concepts of financial management.
2) The duties of the finance manager. The organization of the finance function in firms.
3) The Time Value of Money. Interest. The calculation of the market interest rate.
4) Different interest concepts. Ordinary and compound interest.
5) Compound interest.
6) Gross interest and net interest.
7) Nominal interest and real interest.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Due date interst, discounted interest.
10) Fixed interest and variable interest.
11) Financial planning. Break even point.
12) Planning of cash flow.
13) Cash flow table.
