Course Contents

This course equips students with knowledge on amino acids, proteins, enzymes, vitamins and coenzyme, carbohydrates, carbohydrate metabolism, lipids, lipid metabolism, protein and amino acid metabolism, nucleic acids, transcription, translation, replication.

4) Structural organic molecular groups
5) Chemical substance of water
6) Biologic Effects on water
7) Overview of amino acid metabolism, Classification of amino acids.
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Nucleic acids, structures, properties and types of DNA and RNA, chromoproteins, heme and phorphyrins, ETS’s proteins, bilirubin and biliverdin
10) Properties of minerals, macrominerals and microelements, presence in the blood, deficiencies of minerals and malfunctions
11) Lipids and proteins and carbohydrates
12) Classification of Vitamins
13) Vitamin Supplements and functions
14) Defination of enzymes, structures and mechanisms
15) Overview of lipids and Biological functions , Classification of lipids
16) Final examination
