1) Understanding importance of jewellery chemistry and to use necessary units.

5) Choosing metals and alloys which will be use according to properties of metal and alloys and uses of jewellery at the jewellery sector.

Course Contents

Description of chemistry, importance of jewellery chemistry and necessity of it in this programme, SI units, accurate measurement, capacity and sensitivity, the properties of metals and ametals, table of elements and its properties, description of alloy, benefits of making alloy, properties of gold, silver, copper and zinc, their alloys, uses of them, overlaid with rodium, veneer preparation and to veneer, chemical materials which are used at the jewellery sector and their properties, the properties of wax, gold water and its properties, borax and properties of it.
