Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
1) Recognizes glass material and learns its types. Learns the glasses and special glasses that we can easily find around us.
2) Gain general information about mosaic art.
3) Learns to shape glass by cutting it with diamonds and grinding it in a grinding machine.
4) Experiences sizing the glasses according to the mosaic design and creating the composition by placing them in the appropriate place.
5) Learns to be sensitive and pay attention to details.

Course Contents
Practising glass application techniques.
Weekly Schedule
1) Introducing the basic technics and equipments for cutting glass.2) Cutting and shaping glass for mosaic design.
3) Practicing for cutting the glass at standard dimension as given.
4) Using the mosaic design as a template, she starts to place the shaped glasses in their appropriate places.
5) Exercising on medium and colors on glass, practicing with brushes.
6) Debating on the application of the sketches by the students, preparing for the application.
7) Application prosess.
8) Midterm exam.
9) Practicing on fusing glass by using ready made moulds of simple forms.
10) Glass cutting, painting and fusing exercises on decided design.
11) Finishing the works by polishing and grinding.
12) Debating on the application of the sketches by the students, preparing for the application.
13) Applicato prosseses.
14) Finishing the works and be ready for final exam.
