Course Contents

Learns Mold Making Techniques for Glass

Weekly Schedule

1) Giving the theoretical explanation about the glass forming course to the mold
2) Demonstrating the glass forming application steps to the mold
3) Making two-dimensional designs for glass molding
4) Making the molding phase of the model made for two-dimensional glass forming
5) Melting of the work whose mold is prepared in the glass furnace
6) Retouching and cleaning the work coming out of the oven
7) Finishing the works and getting ready for the exhibition
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Explaining the technique of forming glass into a three-dimensional mold
10) Making three-dimensional designs
11) Transition to the model making phase of the design
12) Taking the silicone mold of the model made
13) Reproduction of the silicone model from wax
14) Carrying out glass weighing processes for wax models and completing the molding phase of the models.
15) Melting the glass in the mold in the furnace
16) Final examination
