Course Contents

Vitrieous (ceramic sanitaryware) sector, used raw materials, applied test and experiments, production technology, floor and wall tile (facing ceramics) sectors, used raw materials, applied test and experiments, production techniques of floor and wall tile, process methods of brick-tile, sectorel condition, used raw materials, applied test and experiments.

Weekly Schedule

1) Introduction to process techniques
2) Process methods and differences of traditional ceramics and advanced ceramics
3) Vitrified (sanitary wares) ceramics and properties of them
4) Raw materials used production of vitrified ceramics and properties of them
5) Vitrified process and tests applied at the process
6) To make tests applied vitrified ceramic process by laboratory groups at the technology laboratory
7) Shaping with turning wheel
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Floor and wall tile processes, applied tests to these products, sectorel condition in our country and in our world
10) Application studies on the turning wheel
11) Tile-brick sectors and process methods
12) Raw materials used tile-brick sector and their properties, applied tests and experiments
13) Raw materials used tile-brick sector and their properties, applied tests and experiments
14) Factory excursion about vitrified, floor and wall tile and tile-brick sectors
15) Evaluation of applied test methods in the context of total process.
16) Final examination
