Course Contents

Basic energy principles, basic energy terms. Energy types; chemical energy, mechanical energy, electrical energy, solar energy, energy resources, fossil fuels, renewable energy resources, electrical power, power systems. Areas of use of energy and global warming, energy efficiency and management. Definition and classification of alternative energy technologies. Introducing alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, wave, tidal, geothermal, biogas, biomass and water energy. Examination of hydrogen energy and nuclear energy. Examination of the usability of systems using alternative energy sources for Türkiye's conditions and project design principles.
