Course Contents

Introduction to sun and solar radiation. Motion and geometer of sun, sun position and angles of solar rays. Analysis of data related solar radiation and calculations. Smart building concepts with solar energy and systems of smart building. Design passive solar energy systems used in buildings and evaluation performances of passive solar energy systems. Introduction of active solar energy systems. Photovoltaic systems and their application areas. Collection of sun light. Midterm examination/assessment Fundamentals of smooth sun light collectors, heat analysis and design. Intensify sun light collectors. Accumulation of solar energy. Hot water systems with solar energy. Automatic control of solar energy systems. Design heater system with solar energy. Design cooler system with solar energy.
