1) Describe theoretical and practical cycles of two and four stroke gasoline engines
2) Explain fundamental engine parts and their relationships with each others
3) Explain combustion in gasoline engine
4) Define performance parameters of gasoline engine and their calculations
5) Explain mixture formation and ideal air/fuel mixture ratios
6) Describe relationships between mixture ratios and emissions
7) Explain various systems found in engines
8) Explain operating principles of fuel system (injection system and carburataur)
9) Makes assembly/disassembly of engine parts.
10) Learns the systems of hybrid and electric vehicles.

Course Contents

This course covers therotical and practical gasoline engine working principles, fundamental engine principles, engine parts,the features and production of engines, combustion stoichiometri, basic features of petrol as fuel, mixture formation in gasoline engine, concepts of pure rich and poor mixture, carburator systems and their phases, injection system and its types, censors used in injection systems, lubricating oils and lubricating systems, cooling system and its types.
