Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Knows the inspection methods used in welding operations.
2) Knows destructive and non-destructive welding inspection methods
3) Knows how to perform weld inspection control with penetrating liquid and examines the results.
4) Knows and applies what to pay attention to in visual weld control. Knows how to use various weld control measuring instruments.
5) Knows how to perform weld inspection with the radiographic method, and knows what kind of defects can be seen in welded materials with this method.
6) Knows ultrasonic weld inspection and what results this method produces. With this method, he knows what errors he can spot.
7) Knows how to perform pressure testing, one of the welding inspection methods performed on high-pressure vessels.

2) General material information; general destructive and non-destructive testing methods
3) Visual inspection method. VT's application areas, limitations and application technique, standards used, preparation of the examination form and filling out the examination form according to the examination result.
4) Inspection method with penetrant liquid. PT's application areas, limitations and application technique, standards used, preparation of the examination form and filling out the examination form according to the examination result.
5) Magnetic testing and eddy current inspection method. MT's application areas, limitations and application technique, standards used, preparation of the examination form and filling out the examination form according to the examination result.
6) Ultrasonic inspection method. UT's application areas, limitations and application technique, standards used, preparation of the examination form and filling out the examination form according to the examination result.
7) Radiographic examination method. RT's application areas, limitations and application technique, standards used, preparation of the examination form and filling out the examination form according to the examination result.
