Basic concepts, reactor design, removal mechanism and application of electro chemical treatment systems such as electro-coagulation, electroflotation, electro-oxidation, sono and UV/Vis electro-chemical hybrids

1) Basic concepts, Faraday's Laws of electrolysis, electrochemical reactions
2) Electrocoagulation; types of electrocoagulation, colloidal stability and specification of colloids, force of colloids
3) The important parameters in electrocoagulation and reactor design
4) Electro-flotation and Physico-chemical properties of Electroflotation, optimization and design of electro-flotation reactors
5) The removal mechanism of electro-oxidation processes
6) The type of electro-oxidation
7) The design of electro-oxidation reactors
8) Mid-term exam
9) The removal mechanism of electro-fenton
10) The design of electro-fenton reactors
11) The sono-electrochemical treatment systems
12) The UV/Vis-electrochemical treatment systems
