Identification of damage patterns in reinforced concrete and adobe structures. Performance evaluation. Definition of sismic parameters and damage indices. Effect of sismic parameters on the level of damage. Nonlinear parameters and definition of ductility. Curvature and displacement ductility. Repair and strengthening methods for structural members. Column and beam jacketing. Member and system strengthening. Reinforced concrete infill walls in system strengthening, analysis and detailing techniques. Carbon fibers (CFRP) in member and system strengthening. Repair and strengthening of adobe structures.
