1) Students who take this module will be able to evaluate and analyse international maritime conventions from legal point of view and produce academic papers on this subject.
2) Students who take this module will learn maritime zones such as inland waters, territorial sea, continental shelf, exclusive economic zones.
3) Students who take this module will learn the scope and researches of international maritime law.
4) Students who take this module will obtain knowledge on the decisions given by ICJ and ITLOS about maritime zones.
5) Students who take this module will obtain skills to examine courts' decisions on maritime zones.
6) Students who take this module will obtain skills on writing and presenting essays

Course Contents

This course, the concept and scope of maritime law; national and international maritime trade law, maritime labor law; ship, ship registration, ship ownership, shipowner, captain's rights and responsibilities, international chartering and carriage contracts; It includes the processing and consolidation of topics such as common average, inland waters, territorial waters, straits, continental shelf, exclusive economic zone, maritime ILO conventions, ITF, Maritime Labor Law and etc.
