The course aims to enable students to comprehend the parameters that will be the basis for short and long term investment decisions related to the maritime industry, the principles of maritime business economics, and the factors affecting profitability in maritime related sectors. In this context, the course content includes supply and demand in maritime transport, freight markets, costs in maritime transport, classification of costs and cash flows, economic criteria in ship investment and management decisions, regular line and non-scheduled transport features, and distribution and pricing policies.
