Course Contents

In this course, students are informed about various mathematical modeling and application techniques developed in the field of operations research to help make better decisions in businesses. The focus is on decision problems. Modeling is explained over different sample problems that may arise in different environments. The aim is to understand how these models can be used and to learn the numerical methods used successfully in modeling decision processes. An approach is followed that will enable students to use optimization software skillfully and to demonstrate this ability in solving complex problems.
