Course Contents

Definition of marine biology and some important concepts, estuarine and open sea systems, oceanographic conditions, geologic, chemical and biologic oceanography, pelagic, benthic and littoral zone organisms, phytoplankton, macrophytes, micro and macro fauna, biologic diversity, formations, of the Turkey’s seas biota, origin and ecology of Turkey’s seas, migrations, upwelling, nutrients, endemic species, of the Turkey’s seas, toxic marine product and marine pollution.
