Course Contents

Basic concepts of logistics and supply chain management, historical development of the topic, improvement of customer satisfaction level, intra-company logistic functions, demand estimations, inventory models, stock control, physical warehouse management- storage systems and warehouse design, purchase management and supplier selection, logistic functions out of the company, numerical models for the minimization of distribution expenses, shortest path problem, the traveling salesman problem, warehouse location selection models, current improvements in supply chain management, outsourcing, third and fourth part logistic firms, effect of technological developments, performance measurement and development in supply chain management.
