2) Measure air and fuel comsumption in engine test system
3) Measure temperature on the engine from different places
4) Calculate performance parameters by using data obtained from engine tests

Course Contents

Instrument selection, measurement errors, calibration, measurement systems, the general components, potentiometer and bridge circuits, force and torque measurements, measurements of the speed and number of cycles, engines, dynamic pressure and frequency measurements, measurements of mechanical power and efficiency, linear power, shaft power, cylinder power and friction measurements, and the amount of liquid level measurement, angle and angular displacement measurements, stress measurement, vibration and noise measurement, advanced methods for measuring fluid velocity and flow rate, temperature and pressure further methods of measurement, measurement of thermal and transport properties.
