Course Contents

At the end of this course, the student will have a broad understanding about the following topics. 1. The theoretical and practical information on the verification of product design and production to confirm that the product is produced in the right way. 2. In new product to be developed, detailed information on the validation of the design, production and marketing of the right product meeting the needs and requirements of costumers 3. Industrial and practical applications on the use of verification and validation methodologies in automotive industry will be given. Contents: The definition of costumer needs and expectation in product development. House of quality, Creating products’ solid models and their simulations, Verification of simulation model, Verification in computational solid mechanics, Verification techniques, Validation techniques, Importance of verification and validation, Accelerated product lifecycle tests in automotive industry
