Course Contents

During the use of alternative fuels in internal combustion engines, required modifications in engine and fuel injection system modifications. Interpretation of the changes in spray (Sauter mean diameter, spray penetration depth, the volume of spray, spray angle, speed of spray, weber number, et cetera) with the properties of alternative fuels. Comparison of the performance, combustion and emissions of alternative fuels with the reference petroleum based fuels. The theoretical combustion analysis with alternative fuels. Investigation of suitability of alternative fuels in different types of internal combustion engines (spark ignition, compression ignition, gradually filled, etc.) and working conditions.
