Course Contents

Classification, properties, and basic concepts of porous materials and polymer foams. Structure, mechanical properties, thermal properties, flammability performance, foam morphology of polymer foams. Foam formation methods used in foam production. Polymer foam production methods. Usage areas of polymer foams. Production and application areas of commercially used polymer foams. Test and characterization methods for determining polymer foam properties. Existing problems and possible solutions in the production of polymer foam.
