Course Contents

The improtance of seed in vegetable production; seed production and problems; ecological factors effecting seed production; production methods; harvest, separation, drying, cleaning and storage; field and laborator control in seed production; hybrid vigore and heterosis; production techniques of F1 hybrid seed; the importance of control and certification system in vegetable; general rules of control and certification; certification systems using in Turkey and in the World, and international establisment; control of seed in the field; sample taken seed lot; packaging and tag; purity test in labratory; the import and export of seeds.
