Introduction to ‘The Grid’, ‘Grand Challenge’ scientific applications, high performance computing, concepts and technologies, hardware and networks, grid architectures, grid applications, security, monitoring, resource management, grid scheduling, data management, web services and grid services, Open Grid Services Architecture (OGSA), building grids. Introduction to Cloud concepts and virtualization technology, cloud storage systems. Other Grid techniques to apply Cloud computing.
