Course Contents

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive comparative analysis of company law. The assessment will be made between Turkish law and laws from other European jurisdictions. The academic rationale behind the course is the dynamic and changing nature of company law. Similarly, Turkey is changing her company law and a draft bill has been produced. The Draft introduces many new institutions which were inspired by developments in various jurisdictions. Thus, it is important to understand the origins of these principles. Moreover, as an EU candidate country Turkish scholars and practitioners should be ready for discussions in other EU jurisdictions and at EU level.
