Course Contents

In this course, which is the continuation of Abstraction Practices in Contemporary Art I, the relationship between abstract art and current philosophical and sociological issues will be tried to be understood. In line with the information obtained, how to propose a personal abstract art work will be supported by presentation and article studies.

1) Evaluation of abstract art through current philosophical and sociological issues.
2) Contemporary philosophers associated with the idea of abstract art.
3) Jean Baudrillard and abstract photoghraphy.
4) Investigation by selecting a contemporary artist sample in line with the philosophy of abstract art.
