Course Contents

Political theology as a discipline investigates how religion and politics have developed through historical processces such as secularization, modernization and globalization. Political theology looks at the relationship between the state and the Church, religion and public life and more importantly how religious beliefs and values have influenced political theory. The course explores the historical roots of political theology, through classic texts and it also explores recent texts wich deals more directly with the relationship between politics and Christian theology.
