1) Explains the basic concepts of science and scientific research, plans, implements and concludes a research for the purpose of solving a managerial decision problem.
2) Uses scientific research methods and techniques effectively.
3) Collects, processes and analyzes scientific data; Reports and presents analysis results effectively.
4) Knows the codes of ethical conduct that must be followed in scientific research.
5) Effectively communicates verbal and written solutions to problems related to his/her field.

Course Contents

Basic concepts related to science and scientific method, stages of the research process, conceptual framework of the research, research methods, problem definition, model development and hypothesis formulation, qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, sampling methods, data analyses, preparation of the research report, report writing rules, principles of research and publication ethics.
