Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Explaining the basic concepts of science and scientific research and the research questions and hypotheses underlying concepts into numeric variables convert.
2) To use the techniques of scientific research methods.
3) To collect scientific data, manipulate and analyze scientific data.
4) Explaining a basic knowledge of science and research ethics.
5) To inform relevant persons and institutions in matters related to the field, to transmit solutions to problems by writting and verbally.

Course Contents

This course equips candidates with in-depth knowledge on science and scientific methods, concepts regarding science, scientific research process, determination of research subject, purpose, data collection methods, sampling process, analysis and implementation of data, form and content of research paper.

4) Research Variables, Hypothesis, Confidence Interval, Significance, Statistical Error, Assumptions, Limitations
5) Sampling Process
6) Measurement, Measurement Error, Reliability, Validity
7) Data Collection Methods: Qualitative Research
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Data Collection Methods: Quantitative research 1 (Observation, Experimental Research)
10) Data Collection Methods: Quantitative Research 2 (Survey)
