Course Contents

Supply chain management is a discipline that involves the coordination and control of activities such as the supply, production, storage and distribution of goods and services. Includes Introduction and Key Concepts, Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Design, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Collaboration, Green Supply Chain, Management Software and Tools, Supply Chain Performance and Evaluation.

Weekly Schedule

1) Introduction and Basic Concepts: Definition, importance and basic concepts of supply chain management
2) System Components of Supply Chain Management: Explaining the basic components of supply chain management, development and growth of these components
3) Globalization and Polarization: The effects of globalization, global trends in the supply chain and the effects of polarization.
4) Supply chain models such as supplier managed inventory , collaborative planning, estimation and purchasing
5) Green Supply Chain Management
6) Green Supply chain Management: material sourcing, production processes, logistics, distribution and recycling
7) Vendor/Supplier Selection Models: Models and methods of vendor and supplier selection within the supply chain

9) Product-Logistics Relationship: The relationship between product features and logistics requirements and the management of this relationship.
10) Factory/Warehouse Location Selection Models: Evaluation of models and factors related to factory and warehouse location selection
11) Route Determination: Determination and optimization of transportation routes
12) Vehicle Scheduling: Vehicle planning and scheduling, optimizing vehicle usage.
13) Transportation and Distribution Models: Planning different transportation models and distribution network
14) Supply Chain Management: Strategic management of the supply chain, demand estimation, inventory management and supply chain models
