Course Contents
Tanzimat Turkish politics today, to explain the historical process, and students to create a perspective on Turkish politics and thus improve their ability to do analysis.
Weekly Schedule
1) Information will be given about the content of the course.2) The different determinations of international relations and the actors of forreign affairs
3) Different approaches to international relations (idealist, realistic, critical and feminist approaches)
4) The factors that effective on Turkish foreign policy will be defined
5) Explain about the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey between 1923-1945
6) Explain about the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey between 1945-1960
7) Explain about the foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey between 1960-1980
8) Midterm examination/Assessment
9) Explain about Turkish foreign policy since 1980
10) Relationships between media and political power in the field of foreign policy will be discussed
11) Reflections of foreign policy on the media will be analysed (Part I)
12) Reflections of foreign policy on the media will be analysed (Part 2)
13) Students will make presentations (Part I)
