Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Recognize the roles of mass media in shaping political behavior and political communication practices.
2) List which strategies should be applied in order to obtain effective results in political election campaigns
3) Explains how actors and political communication strategies are determined in the political communication process, target audience discrimination, and voter analysis.
4) Recognizes successful and unsuccessful election campaigns in the light of examples from the world and Turkey in political election campaigns.
5) Recognize the effect of public opinion polls on voter preferences, the role of media in public opinion polls, political public relations and advertising practices.
