1) Describe the theoretical foundations of political public relations. Examine the models of political public relations
2) Formulate a theory about the relationship between the media and political system and evaluate these relations in the framework of the cultural studies.
3) Examine objectives, strategies and tools of political public relations
4) Explain the impact of the political public relations on the process of news production
5) Examine the relationship between system of the journalism and political public relations on the theoretical base.

Course Contents

Theoretical foundations of political public relations and political public relations relating to the terms of the model will be discussed. The relationship between media systems and political systems, systems theory, materialist theories, integrative social theory, media ethics will be examined from the perspective of theory and cultural studies. Political public relations objectives, strategies and tools to the process of news production, the effect will be examined and will be questioned. Political public relations through press releases to the media will examine the routing process. In the press covered the news of the press release will be made into a case study.
