Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1) Know the basic sources of Philosophy.
2) Recognizes the linguistic, historical and problematic methods to be used in the process of reading and evaluating philosophical sources.
3) Learn the current academic studies in the field of philosophy and learns the ways of evaluation.
4) Understand the interdisciplinary interaction that Philosophy is related to.
5) Explain the prominent philosophers in the history of philosophy, the main problem areas and disciplines of philosophy, the basic philosophical concepts.

Course Contents

Within tho scope of this course, the thypes of the philosophical texts to be encountered in the academic research process in the field of philosophy will be introduced and the hierarchy of sources and linguistic, historical and problematic analysis methods will be discussed.
